• Pressed Steel  Consists of all pressed steel vehicles including trucks, cars, airplanes, construction vehicles, and pedal cars

• Open Toys   Everything other than pressed steel such as farm toys, diecast, tether cars, etc.

• Custom Toys   Open to the imagination.  Anything goes such as custom paint, body modifications, toys that were never made but should have been, etc.

All entries must be received no later than 5pm CST on October 31, 2008.

Contest Rules:

1. Must start with a vintage original mass produced production toy from at least 1975 and older.
2. Items must be fully restored, no partial or unfinished entries will be judged.
3. Items may be restored with reproduction parts.
4. Person entering must be the restorer but does not have to own the toy.
5. All pictures submitted must be either original, glossy paper prints, or high resolution emailed pictures.
6. Any category with fewer than 6 entries will have them shifted to a different category.

You may enter as many toys as you'd like but each must be accompanied by a completely filled out form and the appropriate pictures described below.  All entries will be judged by an impartial expert toy collector that is neither an entrant nor affiliated with Toydecals.com in any way.  All decisions of the judge are final and winners will be notified by mail following the judging.

Photo Requirements:

Each entry should include at least 3 pictures of the item such as front corner, rear corner, one side, top, bottom, and any edges where two paint colors meet.  More can be included but are not necessary.  Photos will not be returned and by entering the contest, Toydecals.com reserves the right to utilize them for display purposes on our website, our catalog, or other forms of advertising.  Original submitter of the photos will be credited when appropriate.

Prizes:

Each category will be judged and have the following prizes awarded:

1st Place  --  $75 Shopping Spree Gift Certificate

2nd Place  --  $50 Shopping Spree Gift Certificate

3rd Place  --  $25 Shopping Spree Gift Certificate

In addition, one overall “People’s Choice” prize will be awarded and will have $50 Shopping Spree Gift Certificate awarded over and above any other prizes that specific toy won.

All prizes will be in merchandise gift certificates for decals.  Prizes have no cash value and are non-transferable.
